BUTTER CHAPTERS 13-16

The final chapters seem to be a time reflection and growth for Rika. Through all of her engagements with Kajii, Rika at first was obsessed with her, but over time I think she realized how unfair Kajii can be.

I thought it was super cool of Rika to get her own spot and have a safe place for others to come as they wish. The world can be a brutal place. At times, people create these obstacles and harm others. To have a space that can bring hope and safety for others you care about is special.

I remember in high school, my sister ran away from home. I saw her once / twice a week in school because we had the same class two days out of the week. I never questioned why she left. All I knew is that my mom and her were always arguing. This was my mom’s angry / yelling phase. My sister ran away to her safe space which is her best friend’s house, which she was happily taken in for like 6 months. How crazy is that! They now live together, that’s even way crazier to me.

There are so many lessons / experiences in life that shape us and mold us into who we are today. I take lessons as they come and try to grow and learn from them. Allows me to understand what I need and what I cut out from my life.

Full Circle, the people that have helped Rika through out the story come together at the end for her through food. Food is a special thing. Having dinner / or sharing a meal with someone is intimate. It’s a moment that should be enjoyed with people you want to surround yourself with. I mean think about, eating food takes quite a bit of time. I want to enjoy that time with people I like. Nothing worse than eating food with people you absolutely don’t want to be around.

A lot can be uncovered when you share a meal with someone. For Kajii, she used it for manipulation. For Rika, she wanted to have an experience of new things and share it. For me, I just want to eat good food with cool people.
